As a member of SpineFontier's Innovation Team, I had the opportunity to work directly with surgeons to solve problems that they experience everyday in the operating room, from improving the usability of our surgical instrumentation, to creating totally new products to fill unmet needs. My team was approached by one of our top surgeon users with one such problem -- how to mechanically remove connective tissue from patient bone graft intraoperatively -- and I was tasked with designing a solution from the ground up: a "Blue Ocean" product unlike any in our catalog, and totally absent on the market.
